Digambara Jain Temple in Delhi
When we went out from Red Fort we already saw a lot of locals falling in line to come inside, it seems most people started to come to the fort around 10 o’clock in the morning.
Our next destination is the Jainism temple across Red Fort Digambara Jain Temple in Delhi
We thought before we can’t get inside the temple because there’s a word that says “NO VISITORS ALLOWED” but when we read it again, visitors are not just allowed during the time for prayer. On entering this Digambara Jain Temple you need to remove your shoes and all leather items, the guy in the gate will tell you that photography is not allowed inside so better keep your camera or else they might not like it.
When you reached in the stairs, I mean before climbing the stairs there’s another guy that will inform you the rules, leather is not allowed, camera and etc., He suggested that we should go one by one so while the other one is looking upstairs the other one is holding our bags and other important things, well that’s what we do.
Digambara Jain Temple is the oldest and best-known Jain temple in Delhi, India. It is directly across from the Red Fort in the historical Chandni Chowk area.
